Back in the Game!

Wow, it's been FOUR YEARS since I last blogged!  So much has changed.  Our zip code is a noticeable one.  We now live in Wake Forest, North Carolina.  We LOVE it here.  It's a great change in scenery.

Jeremy still works from home.  I now work for a home care agency in Raleigh, just during school hours.  Tyler is a junior in high school, Jared is a 6th grader in middle school and little Asher is now a kindergartener.

New York will always be our hometown and we miss our family and friends but North Carolina feels perfect.  The beaches are 1.5-2 hours away, so are the mountains.  We have met amazing new friends that are now like our family.  Some are even from Upstate NY like us!

Now, not everything in life has been perfect.  There have been adjustments, challenges and life changes all around but we're still here.  We've grown in so many ways!  A party of five.

BUT... not really five.  We now have a dog, Sadie Hawkins (Young).  I could never name a HUMAN girl Sadie but an adorable little bassett/Australian shepard (we think!) dog fits her name wonderfully.  And soon, my mom will join us in an apartment primarily built by Jeremy.  We can not wait.  We miss her, we want her here.

Rainy Day Bowling

Today I took the kids bowling with one of my playgroups. It was Asher's first time bowling! They all had a great time.

Easter Egg Hunt #2 (And I got her!!)

My friend Jennie hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at her house today. It was an absolutel blast! Jeremy even got to take a small work break and come with us. The older munchkins came too and I got some pictures of that gorgeous (almost teenage) young lady.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

My friend Tania organized a wonderful egg hunt and lunch at a local park. I took my adorable nephews, niece and Asher. They all had a great time! It was Asher's first time going to an Easter Egg Hunt!

This is my absolutely gorgeous daughter who takes after her mother (in personality). She does not like to be in pictures. No, no and no. I'm going to try and sneak some pictures of her soon. Why hide that beauty??

Field Trip to Five Rivers!

Asher, (Caleb) and I took a field trip to Five Rivers to learn about the process of making maple syrup. We took a walk through the trees looking for maple leaves and going through the steps of how it's made. We tasted it along the way, right when it comes out of the tree, after it was evaporated a little and then again when it was completely done. We even saw turkeys!

Today we met up with our good friends Megan, Max and Moira at the park. It was a beautiful day out. There were lots of kids there but we still had a great time together!
