Jared's 7th Birthday Party

Jared and his family and friends partied hard at Afrim's for his birthday party! He had such an amazing time with everyone. They bounced in the bounce houses, played freeze tag, dodgeball and soccer on the fields. Then they ate, had hamburger cakes and then bounced some more. Thank you to all the family and friends that came!

First off, I must say that I feel so blessed to have such adorable children! We went to the park this morning and had a great time.

Saturday Project!

On Friday night, we found these two pieces in front of a little civic theatre on the way home. Jeremy didn't want pick them up but they were in great condition and we wanted to get Jared a desk and we needed a little table for our dining room because that is where we are putting the fax machine that currently resides in the office/playroom that we'd like to convert into a complete playroom. So Saturday morning, Jared and Jeremy went to Lowe's and got the paint and sandpaper and a bunch of other stuff. The three of us painted the pieces and handles. Jeremy went and got a spare chair from his grandmother's house and painted that as well. I think they look great!

GEESE!

GEESE! We were driving home tonight with the boys (Tyler was at a birthday party) and we saw a huge flock of geese on the lawn of a nursing home. We stopped and let the boys out. The geese didn't fly away but they knew to move swiftly away, ha ha. So they didn't catch one but they had a good time!

4 Teeth Pulled

This morning Jared had 4 teeth pulled. What a trooper he is. It hurt and he cried some, mainly because he couldn't self soothe but sucking his finger (right away). Jared has to have them pulled because his permanent teeth were coming down and that would cause horrible pain and the baby teeth would not come loose. They are stubborn, just like the child they inhabit, so shocking, right?

American Idol: Toddler Edition

Asher LOVES to sing. I means LOVES LOVES LOVES. He takes the microphone from the Wii and sings. Tonight he even added a dance. Please don't mind his shirt, popsicles are GREAT.

Vulcan?

My kid is morphing! He's trying to become a Star Trek character! Actually, we have no clue what this is but it doesn't bother him, so we'll keep an eye out on it.

North Greenbush Town Beach

This afternoon we went to North Greenbush Town Beach with one of our playgroups. This was Asher's first time at a beach and he really enjoyed it after the initial shock of sand. Tyler and Jared tried to catch minnows. Jared practiced his swimming. Asher had no fears and would go to chest level and dunk himself without any help or care if I wasn't right next to him. Tyler really loved the minnows and kept an eye out for them and tried to show Asher but he didn't get the concept.

Another Sunday Fun Day!

Today we went to our friend's daughter's birthday party. Yes, another party! Despite the rain, the kids went swimming. Asher started off by jumping in the baby pool fully clothed without a care in the world. Jared would only go in the baby pool because the above ground was four feet, he's a strange child. Tyler went in but was very timid about it all. At least she looked gorgeous doing it! She loves that swimsuit. It's so girly and fun and her brothers don't have a coordinating version, hehe. Next weekend we are party free but we have another busy but filled with fun week.

Happy August everyone! We started it off with a fun filled day. First we went to a party at Jeeper's for our friend's daughter. Asher went on his first ride and as you can see, he was a little scared but didn't scream or want to get out. Then we went to Jeremy's dealership and the kids played in the field with their cousin Jahlon. Now we're home and tired!
